Thermo King’s new Athenia™ MkIII product range uses advanced technology and design to provide the ultimate in passenger comfort. By changing the position of the evaporator and the blowers, the Athenia™ MkIII unit has a higher blower speed and guarantees higher maximum cooling performance. Combining the increased blower speed with improved regulation, it maximizes passenger comfort.
At the same time, operating costs are reduced due to increased component lifetime and reduced unit weight, enhanced fan technology and better control.
Our sophisticated CANAIRE™ control system is customizable to meet specific needs. It features an ergonomically designed LCD driver panel that allows control of the A/C roof units as well as a driver's area front-box and preheater. A highly flexible system handles up to seven temperature zones with great precision for single, articulated or double articulated buses.
Airflow is carefully managed to keep air speeds speed low and so reduce noise. Combined with additional cooling capacity, this delivers the best possible customer experience.
Our AdvanTech™ Fresh Air control option uses built-in CO₂ sensors to manage the intake of fresh air based on internal air quality measurements. Monitoring and controlling CO₂ also reduce the risk of spreading airborne viruses.
